Executive Director

Alicia Follent is CHL's Acting Chief Executive Officer, based in Brisbane on Jagera and Turrbal Country.

Alicia is responsible for CHL’s mission of creating safe, affordable homes while shaping national housing policy and practice.

In her previous capacity as Chief Systems Officer, her role included driving organisational change that connects strategy, operations, people and technology to enable growth and long-term sustainability. Alicia has led cross-functional teams and initiatives to modernise business infrastructure and position CHL to deliver an accelerated pipeline of homes into the future.

She first joined CHL as Queensland State Manager where she led the team to establish a significant growth pipeline that will reshape CHL’s Queensland footprint. Alicia brings more than 19 years of experience in the community and social housing sector and her career spans operational management, property development, government policy and advocacy, strategy and business transformation.

She has held senior and director roles with CHL, Q Shelter and Churches of Christ and is currently a Director of CHIA Queensland, where she plays an active role in sector advocacy and policy reform. Alicia holds qualifications in business, justice and housing.
